VoIP en tu BlackBerryVoIP in your BlackBerry

Ayer estuve hablando con un compañero y me volvió a preguntar ¿cómo poder usar la Blackberry con su Asterisk? Parece ser que las soluciones que ya hemos comentado en Sinologic no son muy válidas, y la prueba está en que no hay ningún softphone SIP en la tienda Blackberry, y es que Blackberry no quería VoIP por ahora.

Eso era antes de preparar el terreno para lo que va a ser su sistema operativo definitivo, Blackberry 10, un sistema operativo que, o triunfa y pueden continuar, o puede significar el último sistema operativo de esta compañía tal y como se están viendo en los resultados de la empresa, Android e IOS se están llevando el mercado de los teléfonos de consumo.

BlackBerry 10 es la nueva versión del sistema operativo de RIM para Blackberry y traerá integrado VoIP, eso sí, utilizando su propia red gracias a la aplicación BlackBerry Messenger, de esta forma, además de poder enviar mensajes a otros usuarios, también se podrá hacer llamadas de voz gracias a la plataforma que han bautizado como BBM Voice, eso sí, sólo a otros usuarios BlackBerry que tengan esta plataforma.Esta es la única forma oficial y con «garantías» de disponer de VoIP en tu BlackBerry.

No obstante, vamos a hacer un recorrido de las opciones que hay.

Primeramente, encontramos algunas que requieren de instalar una aplicación externa mediante un archivo JAD:

1. Descargar el Archivo .JAR/.JAD que quieres instalar.
2. Descomprime el archivo que bajaste, después conecta tu BlackBerry a la PC y lo que descomprimiste entralo en la carpeta de la memoria de tu BlackBerry.
3. Desconecta tu Blackberry del PC, después ve al menú y entra a Media/Multimedia
4. Cuando estes en Media/Multimedia dale al boton de menu (el que tiene el logo de BB) y dale a examinar.
5. Busca donde pusiste el folder y abre el archivo .JAR/.JAD.
6. Cuando le des al archivo saldra la pantalla de descarga, como si estuvieses descargando un OTA.
7. Dale click a descargar y despues ya puedes usar la aplicacion/tema.

También puedes buscar en Google cómo instalar un archivo JAD (y es que todos los softphones para Blackberry están en este formato).

1. Download File .jar / .JAD you want to install.
2. Unzip the file you downloaded, then connect your BlackBerry to your PC and what entralo unzipped folder in the memory of your BlackBerry.
3. Disconnect your Blackberry from the PC, then go to the menu and go to Media / Multimedia
4. When in Media / Multimedia hit the menu button (the one with the BB logo) and give it to examine.
5. Find where you put the folder and open the file .jar / .JAD.
6. When you give the file will leave the download screen, as if you were downloading a OTA.
7. Click to download and then we can use the application / theme.

Surely many BlackBerry users are willing to talk via VoIP, but sorry to say that due to the «cage» that have these phones, if you really want to use Blackberry, recommend switching to another system cheap/flexible/open as Android.
